2020 has been 2020 … like no other year. We celebrate any positives that we can…
1. Our shack
Built for two girls which be occupied in a week or so.
2. Our rolling star!
He has established his wheelchair basketball-club and had paint donated to restore the basketball court. He also was interviewed by a radio station in Cosmo City.
3. The new preschool
Looking good and the final touches are being made.
4. Matriculates
Our two matriculate girls have had reports that are delightful. We pray that this reflects their end of year results.
5. COVID-19 Cases
Our one and only Covid Case recovered with no untoward happenings.
6. School
The children are heading back to school in their dribs and drabs, having been kept occupied by their donation of copied material, to keep them up to date
7. Mandela day
Mandela day brought donations of masks for the children and donations towards setting up the contents of the new shack.
8. Home-Based teams
A huge thanks to Our Home-Based teams for keeping the flag flying during this time and checking up on the children! All is well.
9. Food
Everyone has been well fed up to now, with donations, we thank God for you all and your generosity.
10. University student
We have the results of one of our first university students – studying education – and he has done an amazing job on the first semester – despite COVID and will continue to do the second semester with as excellent results, I am sure!
11. NSFAS funding
Our one student at has finally received his NSFAS funding ☺️ – in AUGUST when the tuition begins in Jan/Feb! ☹️
I daily thank God for the way He sees us and our children, their people, our people behind us, that support us. We have His favour and are truly blessed.
